Como Park Senior High School
Frequently Asked Questions about Student Schedules
1. How come there are so many class periods listed on my schedule?
In order to fit lunch into your schedule, the fourth and fifth hour classes are split in halves. Periods 4 – 8 are actually all half periods, one of those will be your lunch.
2. When do I have lunch?
There are three lunches each day at Como Park Senior High. First Lunch is Period 4 (from 10:44 – 11:09). Second Lunch is Period 6 (11:41 – 12:06). Third Lunch is Period 8 (from 12:38 – 1:03).
3. I just got my schedule and there is a ‘hole’ or missing class, what should I do? If school hasn’t started yet, come in to Como Park and see your counselor. If the school year has started already, go to the Guidance Office during the period of your missing class and see your counselor. Many classes fill up, so you want to see your Counselor as soon as you can.
4. Can I make a schedule change? In most cases, you have to keep the classes for which you originally signed up. Como Park is full to capacity this year, so most classes are full. Students are ONLY allowed to change classes if you meet one of the following criteria:
1. Incorrect Course
2. Improper Course Level
3. Course Conflicts
4. Documented Severe Health Issues
If you meet any of the above criteria and need to make a schedule change, please see your counselor before or after the schoolday.
5. Is there a deadline for making schedule changes? The last day to make a change to your schedule is Friday, September 18th.
